What BeTheOne Sports is
BeTheOne Sports is a recruiting marketplace that connects student-athletes, verified college coaches and programs, and agencies. We provide profile hosting, discovery, communication and workflow tools. We are not a scouting service, an eligibility certifier, or a placement agent.
No guarantees
Exposure on BeTheOne Sports — including free profiles, paid plans, Featured placement, higher discovery frequency, or roster-need alerts — does not guarantee a scholarship, recruitment, admission, NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA eligibility, financial aid, tryout, or roster placement. Recruiting outcomes depend on decisions made by coaches, programs, admissions offices, and governing bodies, all of which are outside our control.
How paid promotion works
- Paid promotion may increase how often a player appears in searches — only among players who already satisfy the coach's filters and roster need.
- Promoted profiles are clearly labeled Featured, and organic results always appear alongside them.
- Fit Score is independent of any payment. Verification, academics, eligibility status and coach interest are never changed by a paid plan.
- Programs cannot pay to alter public rankings or hide Fit Score reasoning.
Eligibility & verification
BeTheOne Sports performs marketplace-level verification of coach, program and agency identity. We do not certify NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or any other athletic association's eligibility. Players remain solely responsible for their own eligibility status through the appropriate governing bodies.
Data ownership & permissions
- Players own their profile data. Agencies pay for recruiting intelligence and workflow — never for ownership of a player's data.
- Sensitive information (financial need, contact details, private eligibility documents) is only shared with explicit permission from the player, and never sold.
- Direct messaging opens only after both sides accept a connection.
Pricing changes
Launch pricing is a placeholder and is subject to change before billing goes live. Buttons on our Pricing page currently join a waitlist and do not charge any card. We will contact you before any charge is made.
